Rules and Regulations

Best Student Competition

The Ahalia International Foundation is pleased to organize the Best Student Competition to identify outstanding students based on their academic knowledge, aptitude, analytical ability, and overall performance through a three-phase selection process. All candidates are advised to read the following rules and regulations carefully before registering for the competition.

1 Eligibility

The competition is open only to school students studying in the following categories:

CATEGORY I Class IX & Class X
CATEGORY II Class XI & Class XII
  • Students must be enrolled in a recognized school.
  • Each participant shall register only under the class in which they are currently studying.
  • Providing false or misleading information during registration will lead to immediate disqualification.

2 Registration

  • Registration shall be completed only through the official registration portal.
  • All information entered during registration must be accurate.
  • Registration to phase 1 is open and free for every interested student.
  • Once submitted, registration details cannot ordinarily be modified.
  • Registration does not guarantee qualification to subsequent phases.
  • The organizing committee reserves the right to verify the authenticity of submitted information.

3 Competition Structure

The competition shall be conducted in three phases.

Phase I – Online Examination

  • Phase I will be conducted online.
  • Only registered candidates are eligible to appear.
  • Candidates must appear using a device with a stable internet connection.
  • Once the examination begins:
    • The examination timer will start immediately.
    • The examination must be completed within the stipulated duration.
    • Extra time will not be provided under any circumstances.
  • Candidates who successfully qualify in Phase I will be shortlisted for Phase II.

Phase II – SEMI- FINAL COMPETITION

Venue: Ahalia Health Heritage and Knowledge Village, Ahalia Campus, Palakkad, Kerala
  • Only candidates shortlisted from Phase I are eligible.
  • Candidates must report at the venue within the prescribed reporting time.
  • Late entry may not be permitted.
  • Every shortlisted candidate must carry:
    • Printed Registration Form
    • Hall Ticket of Phase I Examination
    • Valid School Identity Card (or other acceptable photo identification, if required)
  • Failure to produce the required documents may result in disqualification.
  • Participants will compete with the top-performing students from their respective zones through a series of engaging and knowledge-based competitions.

Phase III – State Grand Finale

  • Only candidates qualifying from Phase II shall be eligible.
  • Phase III shall determine the final winners of each category.
  • The decision of the quiz judges and organizing committee shall be final and binding.

4 Examination Rules (Phase I)

  • Candidates must ensure a quiet environment while attending the examination.
  • Candidates are expected to attempt the examination independently.
  • Malpractice & Disqualification: Any malpractice (impersonation, use of unfair means, multiple registrations, unauthorized assistance, or manipulation attempts) shall result in immediate disqualification.
  • The organizing committee reserves the right to invalidate any examination if malpractice is suspected.

5 Reporting Instructions (Phase II & Phase III)

Report before the specified reporting time.
Follow all instructions issued by the organizers.
Maintain discipline throughout the event.
Wear decent formal attire during the participation.

6. Code of Conduct

  • •Behave respectfully towards organizers, judges, volunteers, and fellow participants.
  • •Avoid any misconduct or disruptive behaviour.
  • •Comply with all venue regulations.
  • •Maintain discipline throughout the competition.
  • The organizing committee reserves the right to remove any participant found violating the code of conduct.

7. Evaluation

  • •The evaluation process shall be fair and impartial.
  • •The marking scheme shall be determined by the organizing committee.
  • •In case of a tie, additional tie-breaker questions or other evaluation criteria may be used.
  • •The organizers reserve the right to modify the quiz format if necessary.

8. Results

  • •Results declared by the organizing committee shall be final.
  • •No requests for re-evaluation or review shall be entertained.
  • •Shortlisted candidates for subsequent phases will be notified through the official communication channels.

9. General Instructions

  • •Candidates must check official announcements regularly.
  • •The committee is not responsible for internet, power, or device failures.
  • •Mobile phones and electronic gadgets are prohibited during offline rounds unless authorized.
  • •Any attempt to influence organizers leads to disqualification.
  • •The organizers reserve the right to reschedule, modify, or cancel any phase.
  • •Participation implies acceptance of all rules.

10 Rights of the Organizers

The Ahalia International Foundation reserves the right to:

Amend or modify the rules at any stage
Change examination schedules if required
Verify participant eligibility
Reject incomplete or incorrect registrations
Disqualify candidates violating rules
Make the final decision on all matters

11 Declaration by the Candidate

By registering for the competition, the participant (and parent/guardian, where applicable) confirms that:

  • All information provided is true and correct.
  • They have read and understood the rules and regulations.
  • They agree to abide by all instructions issued by the organizers.
  • They accept that the decision of the organizing committee shall be final and binding.
